Internashional competition «Large Format Painting En Plein Air», Normandy (2017)
The first international art festival in the homeland of impressionism – the Fourth big format plein air painting contest.
This event has become a new round of the well-known Grand Prix de Fourges / Big format plein air painting contest, which, since its establishment in 2013, has brought together more than 300 artists – both professionals and amateurs from France, Russia, Ukraine, Algeria, Slovenia, Finland, Latvia, China and Vietnam.
The international contest organized by the French Association «Cultural Crossroads» and partners has been held in an extended area that is a symbol of plein air painting in Normandy – a kind of cradle of impressionism. Marking the end of the contest, a large exhibition of professional and amateur artworks was held in an exhibition hall in Lyons-la-Forêt, which was open to the general public.
